Title of Talk 1: Role of AI in Cyber Security

Synopsis: In this digitized world, everything is changing from offline to online. Data plays a very vital role in this digital network. The theft or loss of USB devices, computers or mobile devices by an unauthorized person who gains the access to your mobile or laptop devices, email account or network is generally termed as data breach. Securing data from thefts and branches is a challenging issue. Adding extra intelligence using Machine Learning (ML) approaches will be efficient in identifying such attackers. In this lecture various ML techniques to identify data breaches such as malware attack, Man in the Middle (MIM), Spear phishing attack, eavesdropping attack, password attack, cross-site scripting attack will be depicted with suitable case studies. Artificial Intelligence (AI) capability to analyse massive quantities of data with lightning speed means security threats can be detected in real time, or even predicted based on risk modelling.

Title of Talk 2: Decentralized Application For Crowdfunding Using Blockchain Technology

Synopsis: Crowdfunding as the name relates it the raising of funds from a vast number of sources. This can be an individual or an organization that merely wants to contribute to a noble cause. In layman's terms, it can be referred to as funding given by an anonymous crowd with a belief that they are helping a section of the society to fight and overcome their monetary problems. This is being achieved via the Internet where people or groups raise funds to help others during a natural catastrophe or some community-oriented social projects, entrepreneurial ventures, travel, medical expenses, and many more. The present-day scenario is such that once people transfer money into a particular venture no one knows what happens to the money generated. As a solution, one needs to track down the flow of money and thereby maintaining appropriate transparency.

Title of Talk 3: Machine Learning and its Applications in Food Engineering

Synopsis: Learning techniques have been applied increasingly for food quality evaluation using computer vision in recent years. This lecture reviews recent advances in learning techniques for food quality evaluation using computer vision, which include artificial neural network, statistical learning, fuzzy logic, genetic algorithm, and decision tree. Artificial neural network (ANN) and statistical learning (SL) remain the primary learning methods in the field of computer vision for food quality evaluation. Among the applications of learning algorithms in computer vision for food quality evaluation, most of them are for classification and prediction, however, there are also some for image segmentation and feature selection. And also in this lecture, the promise of learning techniques for food quality evaluation using computer vision is demonstrated, and some issues which need to be resolved or investigated further to expedite the application of learning algorithms are also discussed
