Overview of the School:
In today’s world – be it business, government, defense, academia, or daily life - the importance of cyberspace is undeniable. This space has slowly (and irreversibly) become a vessel to carry out all our critical communications and tasks. Protecting the cyber-platforms from unauthorized and criminal (ab)use is therefore an urgent need. The most fascinating – as well as annoying – part of it is that there is always a cat-and-mouse race between the attackers and the designers of any secure systems and, therefore, all bets are off! In this school, we take a closer look at some of the state-of-the-art technologies used to protect the cyber space from the most modern and sophisticated cybercriminals. This school offers an opportunity to learn this art from some of the finest experts one can find in this area. The school will also include an interactive session on the career prospects for women in this area.
