ACM India Research Facilitation Grant

Objective: To support PhD & Masters (with thesis work) Students, Postdocs, and Early Career Faculty Members, especially from institutions with constrained research funding.

About the Grant

The ACM India Research Facilitation Grant aims to empower researchers from varying backgrounds and institutions by providing financial support in key areas of academic publishing and learning:

1. Open Access Conferences and Journals: This initiative intends to cover the publication costs in leading open-access conferences and journals, facilitating a broader dissemination of scholarly research.

2. Invitation-only Research Seminars/Workshops/School: Qualified candidates can obtain financial support to attend exclusive invitation-only research seminars, workshops, summer schools, or instructional workshops. See a representative list here.

3. Additional Page Costs: Recognizing that some research findings require a more detailed exposition, this grant will cover additional page costs for top-tier conferences (A/A* venues) and journals with a significant impact factor.

● Document Requirements:As part of the application process, candidates should be prepared to upload pertinent supporting documents. This can include a PDF detailing charges for the accepted open-access journal, an invitation to an instructional workshop or summer school, or a PDF outlining the charges for additional pages of accepted papers.

Evaluation and Notification

Applications are meticulously reviewed by a panel of computer scientists. The review process prioritizes the quality and relevance of the venue and the applicant's contribution. The committee will review the applications monthly, and monthly notifications will be sent out to applicants. Please expect the decision on the applications within 8 weeks.
